BackgroundThe United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Wildlife Services (WS) Guam State Office (WS-GU) intends to award a fixed price service contract to have transects in the Habitat Management Unit (HMU) on Andersen Air Force Base Guam (AAFB) cleared and to provide monthly transect maintenance to keep transects clear. The HMU is a 55-hectare mitigation unit on AAFB located on the southwestern edge of AAFB near Potts Junction. The already existing transects will be maintained first, and then the additional 13 transects will be established. Monthly maintenance of all 25 transects will begin no more than 30 days after the establishment of the new transects.
