Tender Details

The work under this construction team agreement with options concerns the preparation of the plan area for construction and residential use with a total size of 6.5 million euros. This includes upgrading the infrastructure around the plan area and the cultural-technical design of the plan.

The contracting authoritydeliberately combined the assignment. It was decided to merge the designs, ready for construction and ready for residential use, arranging the Smelen-Traverse intersection and making the entrance to the Heerbaan planning area (and the other mentioned activities) by Djept because:all took place at the location of the municipality of Veldhoven and all fall under its responsibility.

The merger contributes to good cooperation between the parties. In addition, the scale of the work increases the chance that production and design can be done more efficiently and sustainablythan when the work is divided into lots.

One party is now responsible for the quality of the work delivered and the interim maintenance between the sub-phases. Multiple assignments with possibly multiple contractors would split this responsibility, resulting in noIt is not demonstrable which contractor should be held accountable and this would either result in a reduction in quality or the municipality would still have to bear the costs.
