This Contract includes the repair, replacement, and upgrading of steel beam guide rail systems (SBGR), including end treatments and structure connections, at various locations throughout the City of Thorold.
Initial locations for 2026 include (refer to Appendix 1 and Appendix 2 for full details and mapping):
Decew Road - Replace approximately 50m of SBGR and 1 SBEAT Beaverdams Road - Replace approximately 93m of cable barrier with SBGR and 2 SBEATs River Street - Replace approximately 70m SBGR and 1 structure connection Cataract Road - Replace existing fish tails with 3 SBEAT systems (provisional) All work shall be completed in accordance with current Ontario Provincial Standards (OPSS/OPSD) and the MTO Roadside Design Manual.
Additional locations may be added as Provisional Items and/or under Service Rate provisions.
