The City of Calgary is seeking a qualified firm to develop an updated Wastewater Treatment Biosolids Master Plan (the “Master Plan”) to assess new biosolids technologies and options and to update the current biosolids utilization strategy.The City of Calgary owns and operates three wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), namely Bonnybrook WWTP, Fish Creek WWTP and Pine Creek WWTP, along with the Biosolids Dewatering Facility, and the Shepard Lagoons in Calgary.The master plan will help prioritize major capital investment decisions based on factors that include population growth, plant capacity, regulatory framework, public perception, climate change impacts, and affordability.This project anticipates the following phases:Phase 1 - Current State AssessmentPhase 2 - Benchmarking and Regulatory ReviewPhase 3 - Technology and Market AssessmentPhase 4 - Final Report - Proposed Master Plan
