General Notice City of Barre, Vermont (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Wastewater Treatment Facility Headworks Upgrade, Contract No. 1. Bids for the construction of the Project will be received via electronic mail until Wednesday, August 19th at 1:00 PM local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read via remote online meeting. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Bids shall be sent electronically to all of the following email addresses: [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] Bidders are highly encouraged to submit their bids earlier than the listed deadline to prevent issues with the submission process. Bids received electronically past the 1:00 PM deadline will be considered late and thus will not be included in the bid tabulation. Bidders are required to reach out to confirm receipt once a bid has been submitted. A bid tabulation will be released to all bidders within 5 business days. The Project includes the following Work: Demolition of existing headworks facilities and construction of a new 2, 000 s.f. headworks building. The new headworks building will include the following: Installation of new Mechanical Fine Screen and Washer/Compactor with related instrumentation and control panels, Installation of a new Grit Removal System and Grit Classifier with related instrumentation and control panels, Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, Controls improvement, construction of new PVC influent sewer and manholes, new driveway, fencing, stormwater, and site improvements, a vac truck cleanout and RV dump station, and appurtenant work. Bid alternates include installation of slide gate actuators, installation of 8” DI water main and fire hydrants, and demolition of an existing building on the site.
