NOTICE OF INTENT (NOI 7266) Cisco Umbrella Secure Web Gateway Subscription Extension Issued: October 10, 2025 The Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) hereby gives notice that it intends to direct award the following contract on Cisco Umbrella Secure Web Gateway supplied by Cisco Systems Canada Co. located at 88 Queens Quay West, Suite 2900 Toronto, ON M5J 0B8, Canada, through its authorized reseller TELUS Communications Inc. located at 6-510 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, British Columbia V6B 0M3, Canada. Scope of Contract Product: Cisco Umbrella Secure Web Gateway (SWG) Estimated quantity: 6650 Cisco Umbrella Security Subscription Supplier: Cisco Systems Canada Co. and TELUS Communications Inc. (Authorized Cisco VAR) Scope: One-year extension of existing Cisco Umbrella subscription, support, and maintenance Term: January 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026 Purpose: Maintain continuity of ICBC-s critical web-security protections during the procurement and implementation of a new Security Service Edge (SSE) platform that includes SWG functionality. Rationale for Direct Award ICBC currently uses Cisco Umbrella as its SWG solution, which provides secure internet access, DNS-layer protection, and advanced threat intelligence to safeguard ICBC-s network systems and users.
