The San Mateo County Sheriffs Office is seeking quotations from qualified vendors to provide comprehensive chaplaincy services. The selected provide shall be willing and able to provide a ministry of presence to Public Safety Personnel, crisis intervention and spiritual support for the residents of San Mateo County. Additionally, the Sheriffs Office is seeking a contractor who can provide the following services:Chaplaincy Program1.) Provide chaplaincy services to Sheriff-s Office personnel, members of the community upon request, and their families.2.) Provide 24/7 on-scene supportSenior Chaplain1.) Coordinate and supervise SMSO Chaplaincy2.) Report to Liaison Officer3.) Responsible for recruiting new Chaplainsa.) Candidates will be presented for the Sheriffs approval after full background check and fingerprinting4.) Provide ongoing training of Chaplains5.) Ceremonial duties as requested6.) Other services include:a.) Hospital and home visits for Sheriff-s Office personnel when requestedb.) Officiate weddings and funeralsc.) Provide Pastoral Counseling upon requestd.) Referrals to other resourcese.) Other services that may be requested by Sheriff-s OfficeDepartment Chaplainsa.) Available 24/7 for on-scene responseb.)
