The Ketendorbraak project "Circular Textile" focuses on Textiel, a product group with major challenges in the field of transition to a circular economy. With the Extensive Producers Responsibility (UPV) textile decision, which is legally required by 1 July 2023, the first important steps have been taken to a circular textile chain. This project builds on this. In order to be able to take the following steps in a further acceleration of the circular textile transition towards 2040 and already a movement to bring about a joint effort is needed from a coalition of benevolent parties (including innovative textile companies, collectors, collectors, collectors, collectors, collectors, collectors, collectors, collectors processors, thrift stores and repair cafés). With this project, the Gearth House offers multi -year support to these parties in the form of chain management. The start of the chain management is scheduled for May 2024.
