1. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The 183d Wing (183WG) at the Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport, Air National Guard Base, Springfield, IL, has a requirement for a firm-fixed-price construction contract to upgrade the Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) system in Building 8.
The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and non-personal services necessary to remove the existing 10 kW UPS system and install a new scalable 20 kW UPS system.
Key scope items include:
Demolition and removal of one (1) existing 10 kW Liebert EXM UPS in SWITCH Room 118, including associated equipment and maintenance bypass panelboard.
Site and electrical preparation for the new system.
Installation of one (1) new scalable 20 kW UPS System (configured for 20 kVA/kW, scalable up to 30 kVA/kW for future expansion).
Sealing of all wall/floor/ceiling penetrations to meet existing fire and assembly ratings.
Full system adjustments, load balancing, and operational testing by factory-trained field service personnel.
Period of Performance: 120 days or less after issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP).
2. BRAND NAME OR EQUAL
This requirement will be solicited as "Brand Name or Equal" for a system similar to the Vertiv Liebert Model APM2 with modular and scalable architecture. The forthcoming solicitation will explicitly list the salient characteristics that any proposed "equal" equipment must meet to be considered acceptable.
3. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION
