Description : I. BRIEF BACKGROUND :
A tourism code is defined as a systematic collection of rules, regulations and
ordinances of a local government unit (LGU) that are arrange in an orderly manner. These
include executive orders, ordinances and standards on tourism. It covers a coherent
system of rules and regulations where ordinances are reviewed for relevance, repetitions,
and unnecessary provisions are removed, new provisions are added and provisions
restated to effectively and efficiently inform the public of acceptable and unacceptable
behavior. Once adopted by the Sanggunian, the tourism code will contain a complete list
of all ordinances of the local government for proper enforcement.
