The Corporation of the City of Thunder Bay (Owner) is seeking proposals from consulting firms for site inspections, assessments, cost estimates and electronic validation of individual components within the Owner-s facilities for 2024 with options available for the years 2025, 2026, 2027, and 2028. The Owner currently uses Ameresco-s AssetPlannerTM, a web-based asset management software to capture live data for over 250 facilities/structures with an approximate gross floor area of 2, 100, 000 square feet. The Owner typically reassesses facilities on a five-to-seven-year cycle. The number and location of facilities requiring site inspections, assessments, cost estimates and validation in 2024 is indicated in Section 1.2.
Consultant Qualifications
Stage I will consist of a review to determine which proposals comply with all of the mandatory requirements. Proposals, which do not comply with all of the mandatory requirements, may, subject to the express and implied rights of The City, be disqualified and not evaluated further.
Mandatory Requirements include the following:
MANDATORY that proponent(s) is an Engineering Firm (the Firm) with a current and valid Certificate of Authorization issued by Professional Engineers Ontario The Firm must have a specialized Building Science group within its licensed scope of services, and the Firm must have a demonstrated minimum five (5) years of experience with facility assessments.
