Purpose. The purpose of this Contract is to obtain a forest inventory/timber cruise for approximately 1, 694 acres of forestland on 8 DoD-owned units at Camp Shelby, Mississippi, under the direction of the Mississippi Military Department (MMD) using using Prism Cruising software (by Lim Geomatics), as defined in this PWS. DoD requires all military bases to manage their natural resources under the principles of ecosystem basis. As part of the implementation of ecosystem management, the MSARNG needs an adequate inventory of the forests that occur within its boundaries.
