Dear Bidder: The International Labor Office (ILO) is looking for a person to carry out work as an external collaborator. Below is a summary of the work that must be carried out: to support the analysis of Ecuador's minimum wage system and formulate inputs and technical proposals to strengthen its coherence and operation. The consultancy will examine the institutional and legal framework; the articulation between the unified basic salary (SBU), sectoral minimum wages and occupational structures; and the relationship between the system and the constitutional principle of the living wage. Likewise, it will analyze the structure of employment and remuneration by branch of activity and occupation, the correspondence between occupational structures and the characteristics of the labor market, the distribution of salaries, coverage and compliance with minimum wages and salary differentiation criteria. On this basis, the consultant will help identify options to update, simplify and improve the articulation between branches of activity, occupations and salary categories.
