Below is a summary of the work to be carried out: The objective of the assignment is to provide specialized technical assistance to the Ministry of Economy (MINECO) and the ILO to strengthen the institutional, strategic and management instruments related to the Social and Solidarity Economy (ESS) in Guatemala, within the framework of the Promotion of Decent Work Program financed by the European Union. consulting includes: (i) technical support for the development and validation of the National SSE Strategy; (ii) technical assistance for the design and validation of the institutional model of care for SSE entities; (iii) technical support for strengthening the institutional management instruments of the SSE Directorate of MINECO; and (iv) technical and coordination support for complementary activities related to the institutional strengthening of the ESS. The work will be carried out in close coordination with the ILO, the Vice Ministry of MSME Development and other institutional actors linked to the SSE, and will include the preparation of technical reports, systematization of participatory processes and formulation of recommendations aimed at strengthening the institutional sustainability of the SSE in Guatemala.
