On December 14, 1950, the United Nations General Assembly founded the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). This body is mandated to direct and coordinate international actions aimed at protecting refugees and solving their problems worldwide. Its main objective is to safeguard the rights and welfare of refugees.In addition, it also has the mandate to help stateless persons.

Over more than six decades, the agency has helped tens of millions of people rebuild their lives. Today, the more than 6, 600 people distributed in more than 110 countries that are part of its staff continue to help some 34 million people. With the aim of helping and protecting some of the most vulnerable people in the world in numerous places and types ofenvironments, UNHCR must acquire goods and services worldwide. 1. REQUIREMENTS
