To meet these challenges, TenneT is launching a tender to implement advanced cable monitoring systems. These systems will offer critical insights into the performance and resilience of the grid-s lifelines — its cables — ensuring optimal operation as Europe transitions to a more sustainable energy future. The tender process is organized into three distinct lots, each focused on specific technologies: Lot 1: Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) - Brillouin Lot 2: Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) - Raman Lot 3: Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) Each lot will result in a framework agreement for a duration of 2 (two) years, with 6 (six) options to extend with 1 (one) year.
