C659 Flood Restoration Works - in Situ Stabilisation
1. An onsite inspection needs to be carried out to fully understand the nature and extent of works in order to provide an accurate lump sum quotation.2. Council reserves the right to award each packet individually or as one lump sum contract, which ever best demonstrates value for money to Council.3. Obtain MoA from relevant authorities (if required) and undertake Traffic Management. Signpost Road Closures / Speed Limit Changes.4. To undertake Safe Work Method analysis prior to work taking place on site.5. Contractor needs to provide before, during and after photos of the works to the Council.6. The surface should be compacted to form a solid, even and uniform surface free of soft spots to prevent unravelling, rutting by traffic and excessive moisture penetration from the surface.In order to achieve the desired compaction, Steel drum Roller, Pneumatic tyre roller need to be used, or any other method approved by contract Superintendent.7. The final constructed surface should be free of any depression, soft spots, voids and irregularity and Superintendent may ask for Proof Roll Tests to be conducted by using one of the following methods:• A 20 Tonne Multi tyred roller• A Bogie drive Water Cart fully loaded weight of 22.5 tonneShould the Proof Roll Test result in any deflection, it will need to be promptly rectified by the contractor to the satisfaction of Superintendent.8.
