The Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations leads central management, exploitation, further development and renewal of the National Pass. The Rijkspas is a multifunctional smart card for the Dutch government. The pass is used within the central government as an admission ticket/agent, Authentication tool and interdepartmental proof of identity. In addition to physical access to buildings/spaces, the pass can also be used for access to the working environment, printers, lockers and other systems. An agreement will be concluded with one service provider for taking care ofFunctional and technical application management on the Central National Pass Systems, providing (implementation) support, including a service desk and actively contribute to the further development of the Rijkspas facility. The intention is to take the agreement in force on January 1, 2026are.
