This project aims to address the thermal comfort and indoor air quality related issues in the buildings at 2301Midland Ave. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, air handling units, laboratory general exhaustsystem, humidification, perimeter heating control valves, office air handling unit conversion from constant airvolume to variable air volume (VAV), including office zone VAV air terminals, reheat coils, venturi air valves, dampers, conversion of pneumatic devices to electric, building automation control system, etc. Work summarydetails are included in Section 01 11 00 of the specification (Appendix 4) and drawing D0102 of the drawing set(Appendix 5).There are two (2) buildings onsite connected by a covered link: 1) Main Building and 2) CCB. Construction isexpected to take place throughout both buildings (penthouse, labs, offices, etc.) under a phased implementationstrategy that may require multiple crews working in different parts of the building at the same time. The buildingwill be occupied and operational during construction. Some experiments run 24-hours and into the weekend.After-hours and weekend work will be required to ensure minimal to no disruptions to the experiments.
