The work consists of, but is not limited to, sewer pipeline removal, disposal and abandonment; sewer manhole removal, disposal, abandonment, modification, and construction; connection of existing service laterals to the proposed sewer pipeline; sewer bypassing to maintain sewer service; trench restoration; sheeting, shoring, and bracing; grind and cap paving, median curb and gutter and stamped concrete removal and replacement; traffic signal inductive loop replacement; traffic stripping replacement; traffic control; implementation of a Water Pollution Control Program and Best Management Practices; and all appurtenant work as shown on the plans and delineated in the specifications.The work also includes the sewer flow will be rerouted by extending the westerly sewer main south towards Lincoln Avenue. The existing 8” sewer main that crosses from west to east will be abandoned including the existing siphon.This project is covered “Project Work” as defined in the Community Workforce Agreement (CWA) the City entered into with the Los Angeles/Orange Counties Building and Construction Trades Council and the Signatory Craft Councils and Local Unions. The CWA is a pre-hire collective bargaining agreement that establishes labor relations procedures. Therefore, the awarded Contractor and its subcontractors of all tiers shall agree to be party to and bound by the CWA by signing a Letter of Assent (a form attached to the CWA as Attachment A). The CWA will be incorporated by reference in the Construction Contract and can be downloaded at the City-s website at: http://anaheim.net/229/Public-WorksFor the purposes of bid evaluations and fairness to all bidders, the City will evaluate the Total Base Bid Proposal. The lowest responsive responsible Base Bid bidder will be selected.
