Project Description: Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust requires additional diagnostic capacity within Symptomatic Breast Services to manage a significant increase in demand for the diagnostic One Stop Clinic. Waiting list backlogs and time‑sensitive cancer pathways are under pressure, with the service needing to increase throughput urgently to meet internal performance requirements and national standards. The Trust has secured time‑limited funding that must be utilised within quarter 1, and requires rapid mobilisation of additional clinical sessions. Internal staffing constraints and theatre/clinic pressures mean that the required activity cannot be fully delivered in‑house without external support. To address this, the Trust seeks to engage an external provider to deliver insourced diagnostic breast one stop clinic sessions on Trust premises.
