The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (OCEO), an agent of Parliament, exercises general direction and supervision over the conduct of elections and referendums at the federal level and is commonly known as Elections Canada. Requirement Elections Canada (EC) requires the professional services and provision of goods from a contractor, acting as an independent expert, to produce the list of candidates in Braille that assist visually impaired electors to vote independently. The requirement is detailed in the Statement of Work attached as Annex A to Part 7 of this RFP (the “Statement of Work”) Incumbent The work is currently being performed by Point-par-Point Inc. under contract (value $181, 108.62 CAD including applicable sales tax). Security There is no security requirement applicable to this procurement. Period of the Contract The Contract period will be from the Effective Date of the one (1) year (the “Initial Term”). The Contractor will grant to Elections Canada irrevocable options to extend the period of the Contract by two (2) additional periods of two (2) years each under the same terms and conditions. Submission of Proposals Submission Eligibility This solicitation of offers is subject to the Policy on Reciprocal Procurement. This means that only Canadian Suppliers and Suppliers of an Applicable Trading Partner, as defined in the article 1.2 are eligible for this solicitation.
