Description

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) intends to award a sole source lease extension for 5-years toMassachusetts Airport Authority at Boston Logan International Airport. TSA currently occupies a total of 16, 473rentable square feet throughout all terminals and intends to remain in current space. This is a notice of intent toaward a sole source procurement action for existing space that is currently contracted under TransportationSecurity Administration, Direct Leasing Branch. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.This justification applies to all TSA continuing need requirements for support and administrative work space thatare required to be on airport property, in all terminals, at the Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). TSA spacemust be located on-airport to effectively carry out its mission in direct airport support of the screener workforce andadministration staff that supports the screener workforce and other functions located on airport property.TSA has a current lease with which will expire on 05/31/2024.The lease shall include all services, supplies, and utilities as part of the rental consideration, and have the ability tosecurely house a 24-hour operation within the space. Due to mission critical duties, the space must be accessibleby major arterial roads and/ or public transportation systems to Boston Logan International Airport.The Government may consider alternative space if economically advantageous; otherwise the Governmentintends to pursue a sole source acquisition. All offers should be aware that the Government will consider the costof relocation, alterations, etc., when deciding whether it should relocate.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses tothis notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be consideredsolely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procure...
