The Department is seeking to establish a Border Protection Technologies Panel (Panel) of providers for Technologies to support ABF capability. Technologies include x-ray scanners, trace detection, radiation detection, substance identification and other border protection technologies and related products. The panel will allow the Department to : a) Establish agreements for the provision of required parts and consumables that are necessary to support the ABF in the operation of technology to enable the detection of prohibited goods and border controlled substances; b) Establish arrangements that will allow for the refresh of aging, obselete or unserviceable Technology for the term of the Panel; c) Establish arrangements that will allow for the provision of new Technologies for current and emerging ABF sites and operational requirements; and d) Identify new and emerging Technologies and technology providers.
