Bois-du-mining site Luc Cour des Ateliers Study mission: restoration of buildings (aworkshop island, refectory and 1st barn), integrated photovoltaic installation and new efficient spaces towards carbon neutrality

This contract has three objectives: (1) restore the industrial building classified as a UNESCO world heritage site; (2) redevelop and develop spacesinteriors to improve activityenergy ion and sustainable resource management for a world heritage site in transition". The project also aims to strengthen the attractiveness of the site. Some interior spaces are currently occupied by old coal mining machinery and are part of the citour of the museum. The project makes it possible to promote these spaces which retain their purpose. Other spaces are not currently used; the project allows them to be reassigned into tourist reception areas and target audiences (researchers, businesses, mixed groups) and into meeting roomsmeetings of different sizes.
