The object of the acquisition is a complete solution intended for the blood center operations of the NordLab wellness association, which includes blood center automation equipment, related reagents, and software and services that support the use of the equipment. The acquisition covers several NordLab blood centers, including Oulu, Offices in Rovaniemi, Kajaani, Kokkola, Kemi and Oulaskanka. The procurement forms a comprehensive blood center automation solution, where equipment, reagents, software and services work as a unified whole. The aim is to ensure the quality of blood center operations, reliability of supply, patient safety and continuity of operations in all NordLab blood centers throughout the contract period. The provider can offer two seasons of different lengths or, if he wishes, only one season. The procurement unit makes the procurement decision based on the overall economic benefit. The options are: contract duration five (5) years + option two (2) years and eight (8) years + option two (2) years. In the comparison, the total cost of one year is used, which includes equipment rentals, a maintenance contract and the costs of examinations. Both sub-areas include the opportunity for the procurement entity to redeem equipment in use after the end of the option period, if it is considered that the equipment is still in good condition and it is found that they have at least two (2) years of useful life remaining.
