This is a combined synopsis/solicitation announcement for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.202, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Products and Commercial Services, and supplemented with additional information. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation to request quotes. Written solicitation will not be issued. A firm-fixed price purchase order is anticipated.
The Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 20 Biomedical Engineering Department responsible for eight Health Facilities and their surrounding clinics wishes to establish a firm-fixed-price contract to accomplish corrective maintenance (CM) and pending preventative maintenance (PM) on various types of medical equipment. The contract will include a fixed labor rate and fixed overtime rate for a Biomedical Engineering Technician (BMET) as well as travel to be reimbursed pursuant to government per diem (see https://www.gsa.gov/travel/plan-book/per-diem-rates ). The period of performance for this requirement is 12 months with the anticipated start date of 8/1/2026.
This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2026-01 effective March 13, 2026.
