Better utilization of already developed area Slo municipality v/Climaetaten invites you to participate in a competition for the procurement of consulting assistance for better utilization of already developed land. Oslo municipality is one of Norway's largest employers with approx. 50, 000 employees and an annual budget of approx. NOK 90 billion. The Norwegian Climate Agency will be responsible for both implementation and follow-up of the procurement. The Norwegian Climate Agency must be a professional resource and driving force to achieve Oslo municipality's climate goals. The agency is responsible for following up the Climate Strategy for Oslo 2020-2030, and management of the Climate and Energy Fund. The Norwegian Climate Agency collaborates with the population, business, knowledge communities, organizations and other public authorities to mobilize for climate-friendly behavioral change and develop good climate solutions in Oslo. The Climate Agency has approximately 50 man-years divided between three departments: A climate science department, a communications department and an administration department. The latter is responsible for running the Climate and Energy Fund. The Climate Agency is subordinate to the City Council Department for the environment and transport (MOS). All communication, including any questions, must take place through the municipality's tool for competition implementation (KGV). The Climate Agency has been commissioned by the City Council's Department for the Environment and Transport to prepare the basis for a new climate strategy for 2040, including proposals for new targets for natural carbon storage.
