Tender Details

This scope is for the provision of cut and bent steel reinforcement for Curzon Approach Viaducts. The supplier should review the steel reinforcement drawings and cut and bent steel in accordance with the drawings and bar bending schedules provided by the Contractor. The bars should be cut and bent at the supplier's premises and comply with the relevant BBV/HS2 specification and relevant British Standards:
• All hot rolled and cold worked steel bars shall conform to BS EN 10080 and BS 4449 Grades B500B or B500C
• BS 8666 from 2005 and eventually 2020 Scheduling, dimensioning, bending and cutting of Steel Reinforcement for Concrete
• The mandrel diameter for bending bars shall comply with Clause 8.3 of BS EN 1992-1-1.
• CARES product acceptance scheme for steel reinforcement
• Couplers shall be TA1A CARES certified
The supplier should also provide any couplers including threading and any relating protection of the re-bars. Bars should be delivered to site labelled with the references of the bar bending schedule and pre-slung to facilitate safe unloading. Supplier should also provide any method statements and their related risk assessment as well as all relevant quality documentation such as quality management plan, grade mill certificates for the supplied re-bar, CARES certificates, CARS certificates and technical data sheets for the couplers, samples for testing (if required) and any other required to demonstrate compliance with the specificat...
