Tenders are invited for Bats and wind power

Short description : There is a desire for more knowledge about how activity and behavior of bats are affected by wind farms. We need to develop a methodology to make assessments of wind turbines impact on bats, including assessments that should be done before and after construction. Part of the work will be to lighte after dead bats around the turbines especially during periods of major moves like spring and autumn. This project will draft a protocol for data collection for future impact assessments to contribute to recommendations for a bat-friendly management practice in Norway in relation to wind power. Thette is one of Norway's obligations in EUROBATS.
