Expression of Interest are invited for Baseline Assessment and Training of Coffee Producers in Nicaraguas Caribbean Coast
In Nicaragua, IFC is working with a coffee exporting company to create an environmentally friendly Robusta production industry on the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua, working with producers in regions that use degraded pastures, rather than new land. IFC is looking for a local firm based in Nicaragua (the "Contractor") that will be hired to: a) conduct a quantitative baseline data collection survey (sample of 350 producers) and a qualitative gender assessment (at least 3 focus groups of 6-10 farmers participants per group) and b) carry out a second round of pre and post-harvest training with Robusta coffee producers in selected municipalities of the Caribbean Coast during the months of October 2021 to March 2022. The selected Contractor must be based in Managua, Nicaragua and have sufficient local personnel with technical experience in coffee production and relevant skills to carry out the activities mentioned above.
