This contract involves renovation of the existing primary South Coast Sewage Treatment Plant and construction of the new 9, 000 m3/day South Coast Water Reclamation and Re-use Facility incorporating biological secondary treatment, tertiary treatment (filtration and ultraviolet disinfection), followed by ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis. The new facility includes sludge digestion, thickening, and dewatering. A related project will utilize the reclaimed water for groundwater recharge and agriculture irrigation.
