Tender Details

Tenders are invited for Ban Bor Ta Kai - Ban Chom Ong Junction Road Improvements Subproject.

1. The Government of Lao People-s Democratic Republic has received a Loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Tourism Infrastructure for Inclusive Growth (TIIG) Project. Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from all eligible ADB member countries.

2. The Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the construction of Ban Bor Ta Kai - Ban Chom Ong Junction Road Improvements, Xay District, Oudomxay Province (“the Works”). The Works comprise the improvement of approximately 16.45 Km of road surfaces to an average width of 4.50m of DBST with a 0.25m paved shoulders, pipe culverts, box culvert, longitudinal drainage and others.

3. International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB-s SingleStage: One-Envelope procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries as described in the Bidding Document.

4. Only eligible Bidders with the following key qualifications should participate in this bidding:

• Having a Minimum Average Annual Turnover of USD 6.4 Million calculated as total certified payments received by the Bidder for contracts completed or under execution over the last three (3) years (2016-2018).

• Having the financial resources less its financial obligations for its current contract commitments meet or exceed the total requirement for the Subject Contract of USD 1.0 Million.

• Having satisfactorily completed at least two (2) contracts for supply of similar contracts in the preceding five (5) years of not less than USD 3.8 Million.

The qualification criteria are more completely described in the Bidding Document.

5. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Documents from the office of the Employer given below from 8:00 to 16:00 hours, Monday to Friday, except national holidays.

6. To obtain the Bidding Documents in English, eligible Bidders should:

7. Deliver your bid:
• To the address above in para 5.
• On or before 24 June 2019, 14:00 hours (Vientiane Local Time).
• Together with a Bid Security as required in the Bidding Documents.
Late bids will be rejected.

Bid will be opened immediately after the dateline for bid submission in the presence of Bidder-s representatives who choose to attend.
