The procurement unit has tendered a voice service and customer service solution, for which Elisa Oyj has been selected as the supplier. In connection with the competition, bids were also requested for backup connections for the voice service solution, which the procurement unit announced it would acquire from others than from the winner of the tender. The procurement contracts for backup connections of the voice service solution have been concluded with DNA Oyj and Telia Finland Oyj. During the contract period, it has become apparent that operator-specific network coverage and reliability differ estimated in advance, due to which a number of essential services have to be left to their current operators. For this reason, it is necessary for the procurement unit to acquire additional services required for the services and operations of the units. This direct procurement concerns DNA Expanding and specifying the corporation's agreement based on actual use, operating environment and functional requirements. The estimated VAT-free value of the direct purchase for the contract period is €1, 070, 000. The anticipated value is based on DNA Oyj's offer and to the customer's assessment of the need for the service. The costs are allocated to the cost center of each unit using the service. Direct procurement is done as an additional order in accordance with Section 41 of the Procurement Act (1397/2016).
