Tenders are invited for Automated Traffic Signal Performance Measure System

Vendor needs to provide automated traffic signal performance measure system for improve travel reliability at signalized intersections and thus decrease motor vehicle emissions and fuel consumption.

- An Automated Traffic Signal Performance Measure (ATSPM) system will provide information and tools needed to actively monitor signal performance and proactively identify and correct deficiencies. Developing an ATSPM system can be cost-effective way to improve traditional re-timing processes by providing continuous performance monitoring capability using high-resolution data and real-time performances measures.

- The agency is seeking a system that can deliver the following improvements:

• Proactively monitor signal coordination performances to evaluate traffic and congestion trends by reviewing reports and alerts generated by the ATSPM system

• Identify unusual traffic signal operational issues (e.g., split failure resulting in long queues, lack of pedestrian calls, inappropriate side street delay, etc.) quickly through reports and alerts

• Collect turning movement counts

• Corridor Performance

• Able to calculate and display emissions and fuel consumption data
