The venue will facilitate presentations and rotating expo-style workshops to provide a foundation layer of pre-season training and education, playing a key role in appropriately preparing expeditioners for their technical and collective training blocks, and life on station. To host the Australian Antarctic Program Expeditioner Summits, the AAD will require a suitable venue that can accommodate up to 150 expeditioners per day with sufficient and appropriate meeting rooms to facilitate a range of conference and workshop sessions.
