Most electrical and mechanical installations in locks, movable bridges, weirs, pumping stations and other water regulation works in the Maas and associated channels approach the end of their lifespan. This also applies to the IA/IT systems for the operation, which takes place partly remotely from the Maasbracht control center. This increases the sensitivity and the risk of nuisance. The purpose of the 'Replacement and renovation service and control of Maas objects (MB 2.0)' project is to guarantee, now and in the long term, of the daily functioning and performance of the area in the Maas of the Zuidnederland service with the focus on the E&W ( Electrical engineering and mechanical engineering) and IA (industrial automation) aspect.
