The objective of the service is to assist the team in charge of control and command to renovate the Control-Command software of the original installation and more particularly the Human-Machine interfaces (HMI). All 51 HMIs represent approximately ~800, 000 lines of significant code, the cyclomatic complexity index calculated by GnatPro is between 4 and 25, the average value is 8. The HMIs are exclusively developed with the ADA language, their graphics are based on the services of MOTIF and XRT libraries. These libraries represent a risk of obsolescence for future replacements of control room stations with the risk of encountering hardware and/or software incompatibilities. In addition, the workshop almost non-existent development is very far from current standards and therefore very penalizing in terms of development speed. The main objective of the renovation is to solve obsolescence problems by replacing the MOTIF XRT libraries using state-of-the-art graphics technology. GANIL is studying the following solutions: VueJS, pyQt, Gtk-python. Another objective is to improve the maintainability of software and facilitate the use of external HR resources in the event of a need for occasional reinforcements; To do this, particular attention will be paid to the architecture, coding rules, documentation, testability and the skills required for the technology to replace MOTIF/XRT libraries.
