Tender Details

In support of the electricity distribution network, Aurora Energy Limited (Aurora Energy) own and manage a variety of assets. These include:

- Network Infrastructure (poles and conductors, transformers, underground cables and switchgear etc);

- Substations;

- Vehicles and Plant; and

- Buildings.

Under the Electricity Act 1993, Aurora Energy must demonstrate prudent stewardship of these assets, including:

1. Verification of what assets are owned;

2. Location of these assets;

3. Age and condition of these assets;

4. Maintenance activities conducted on these assets

5. Costs apportioned to the assets; and

6. Remaining life and replacement lifecycle periods

In addition, through interconnectivity with the other core Aurora Energy systems, asset management insight is required on:

1. Work orders raised against the asset (and nature of intervention);

2. Optimize the maintenance frequencies;

3. Linked to finance data to understand values and costs;

4. Geo spatial locations.

The AMS is the central hub that collects, collates and synthesises the asset data and provides automated instruction on optimising the maintenance, renewal and replacement of the assets through planned and scheduled maintenance, repair, renewal and replacement processes.

Currently, Aurora Energy undertake their asset management requirements from `islands of information` with disparate databases making it time consuming to generate an accurate `single source of asset truth`.

The proposed AMS centralises, collates, analyses and optimises the asset data to enable a more accurate asset management decision making process.

Aurora Energy is seeking Registrations of Interest (ROI`s) from suitably qualified companies (Respondents) who are interested in supplying, installing, commissioning, training servicing and supporting an AMS.

The purpose of this ROI is to prequalify and shortlist suitable Respondents. The ROI process involves a weighted attribute evaluation methodology. ROI submissions should clearly demonstrate the Respondent`s proven abilities in relation to the key aspects of the Services. It is anticipated that shortlisted Respondents will then be asked to provide commercial proposals under an RFP/RFT process.
