PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT OF INTENT TO AWARD ON A SOLE SOURCE BASIS TO THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF HEATING, REFRIGERATING AND AIR-CONDITIONING ENGINEERS, INC.

Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Atlantic, Norfolk, VA intends to sole source a contract to the American Society of Heating, Refridgerating and Conditioning Engineers, Inc, 180 Technology Pkwy, Peachtree Corners, GA, 30092 for the commercial purchase of ASHRAE eLearning Training for online courses. The contract will be for a period of one year. This requirement meets the conditions of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), only one responsible source is able to provide the type of service that will satisfy the agency requirements. ASHRAE was formed as the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers by the merger in 1959 of American Society of Heating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHAE) founded in 1894 and The American Society of Refrigerating Engineers (ASRE) founded in 1904.

This Notice of Intent is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOIs), proposals, or quotations. No solicitation documentation exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of EOIs, proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice.

Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids, quotes, or proposals. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 611430 - Professional and Management Development Training. The Small Business size standard is $16.5 million.
