Art and Construction, Interior | FORUM UZH | New building On behalf of the University of Zurich (UZH), the Building Construction Authority of the Canton of Zurich is organizing two study commissions in a selective process for the artistic design of the new FORUM UZH building. The present one Study program concerns the interior. The building owner is the University of Zurich, which will also use the building for the majority of the time. The UZH commissions the Building Construction Authority of the Canton of Zurich (HBA) with the overall project management for the SIA phases 2 to 5. The general planner is Herzog & de Meuron Forum AG. The study assignment for the FORUM UZH is to find an artistic intervention in the interior that deals with the architecture and function of the new building in a stimulating way and thereby Architecture and art come together to form an overall concept. The assessment committee assesses the submitted projects with regard to their engagement with the task, their response to the location, their artistic impact and their Relationship to architecture and lived academic context. The artistic suggestions should speak an independent and strong visual language. Static, permanent works are just as welcome as performative, time-based works - the latter if a coherent concept for its implementation and documentation is demonstrated. The long-term operating and maintenance costs are also taken into account in the assessment. Doc Title: Art and Construction, Interior | FORUM...
