The WorldBank Finance, Competitiveness, and Investment Department (FCI) is seeking tocontract a qualified firm or consortium (hereinafter: the Consultant) for advisory, and training services under a Program to enhance Investment Readiness Capacity forwomen entrepreneurs (hereinafter: IRP) under the Missing Women: ExpandingEarly-stage Finance to WSMEs in South Caucasus and Central Asia Project. TheIRP is designed to bridge the gender gap in early-stage financing by addressingkey barriers that prevent women-owned and women-led small and mediumenterprises (WSMEs) from accessing equity investment. By piloting demand andsupply-side solutions, the program will enhance financial access, improveinvestment readiness, and strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem for womenentrepreneurs in the targeted countries. The Consultantwill help implement an outreach strategy to obtain over 250 eligible applicationsfrom Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Firms (MSMEs) in Armenia and Georgia (125applications per country), as well as support at least of 120 eligibleapplicants (60 in each country) (to be selected by the World Bank) withrelevant services (‘Program') to enhance the capacity of women entrepreneurs tovalidate products, secure funding, and scale their businesses. The Programwill involve the design and provision of a Technical Assistance component -consisting of a set of advisory and training activities. The Consultant will beresponsible for developing and customizing the content of the Program to suitthe local context and its specific needs. These customizations will requireWorld Bank approval to guarantee a standardized approach across multiplecountries implementing these activities. Additionally, the Consultant mustcollaborate with the World Bank, and other Consultants who will be concurrentlydeploying the same Program in Kazakhstan to ensure the Program is effectivelyaligned with its objectives.
