The City of New Westminster is seeking the services of qualified Archaeological Services firms and to create a shortlist of qualified suppliers (Shortlisted Supplier).
Note - this RFQU was originally published in 2023, those suppliers that have already been qualified DO NOT need to re-apply.
New Westminster is on the unceded territories of the Halkomelem speaking people and we are in the early stages of learning about and understanding Indigenous connections to this place and how they have been severed through colonial actions.
Baseline archaeological studies and proactive policies will contribute to the City-s efforts to recognize and honour the deep connection to this area by Indigenous communities, and ensure Indigenous history and connections to these lands are preserved.
