Appointment of contractor for new construction rehabilitation hospital - Engineering & Build The new rehabilitation hospital will be built on the care campus north of the center of the city of Mechelen, located on the R6. The project site is located west of the AZ Sint-Maarten and east of the Roosendaelveld residential care center. The assignment includes the realization of a completely ready-to-use new rehabilitation hospital building for the National Multiple Sclerosis Center of +/- 18, 400m² gross floor area with outdoor construction but without medical and non-medical loose equipment. Under the building there is a basement with a therapy pool and a connecting tunnel to the adjacent Sint-Maarten Hospital. This connection with Sint Maarten Would allow hospital to share certain techniques with the new rehabilitation hospital building. All agreements regarding this (tunnel connection and sharing of technologies) will be explained in the award guidelines in phase 2. The contractor is responsible for the construction of a new hospital building, including the environmental construction, based on its own study, which in turn is based on the assignment documents and on what is included in the environmental permit.
