The Municipality of Bornem wishes to strengthen Boomstraat as the central shopping center of the municipality. The need for the reinforcement of the Boomstraat is therefore included in the policy plans of the Municipality of Bornem. This also includes the redevelopment of the Post site clearly stated as a strategic project. The Municipality of Bornem wishes to build infrastructure on the corner between Boomstraat and Ruiterstraat in the form of a green and traffic-free square belonging to the public domain.
