Tender Details

The municipality of Oostkamp is planning major works in the center of the main village (Renewal center Oostkamp - Oostkamp). This innovation is part of the Oostkamp Center Plan. After the summer construction leave, the preparatory utility works for the center renewal. The actual sewerage and road works will then start in the spring of 2027. Given the nature of the center (junction of roads from all directions, many functions and target groups (schools, residents, traders, shoppers, etc.) and fairly narrow streets, the works have a major impact on mobility in the center, even during the utility works. For example, central streets must temporarily be completely closed to motorized traffic. The works are carried out in different phases, where we want to limit disruption as much as possible per phase. But this does mean that mobility changes per phase. To make it as clear/readable as possible for users, we want a high-quality, flexible and attractive one implement wayfinding/signaling, which evolves with the different phases of the works. The assignment includes • Developing a wayfinding strategy that can work in phases. There is a specific mobility partner that manages traffic flows and diversions elaborated per phase.
