Appointing a design team for construction projects KKarus VZW is a psychiatric hospital and offers appropriate care on the road to recovery for people with psychological difficulties and their environment. For the realization of their healthcare strategic objectives Karus has drawn up an infrastructural master plan, in which the future infrastructure must enable the full rollout of the defined healthcare strategy. General principles of this master plan are: • Centralization of the specialized treatment offered on the Merelbeke-Melle campus; • Infrastructure that contributes to the healthcare strategy; • Living and living quality: healing environment in a green environment; • Sustainability; • Efficient and high-quality operation; • Quality working environment; • External synergies; • Respect for cultural value. Karus vzw wishes in this phase of the master plan: The preparation of a campus design plan for the entire psychiatric hospital on the campus in Merelbeke-Melle, based on the current infrastructural master plan of Karus. In this development plan, the spatial organization, functions and circulation structures are fully elaborated.
