Apcr Ash Exportation - Sites For Waste/Recovery
The Government of Jersey-s (GOJ) Energy Recovery Facility currently creates approximately 80 tonnes of Air Pollution Control Residue (APCr) hazardous ash per week, which is a by-product of burning waste. The GOJ currently exports APCr ash from the Energy Recovery Facility in Jersey to a hazardous waste landfill disposal site in England and is shipped as freight on a trailer in 2 tonne bulk bags. The GOJ have reviewed the development of technologies for APCr treatment and are striving to export APCr ash for recovery as an alternative solution from autumn 2023. Therefore, the GOJ is seeking companies which can provide an APCr ash recovery service at their designated hazardous waste site within the United Kingdom.If interested, please register an expression of interest for access to the questionnaire document.
