This is a presolicitation notice; this is not a solicitation for a Request for Proposal, Invitation to Bid, or a commitment, implied or otherwise, that AFTC/PZZG will take procurement action in the matter. The purpose of this notification is to inform industry of the USAF-s intent of contract action and possibly gain knowledge of other potentially qualified sources and their size classifications (small business, large business, etc.) please do not request a copy of solicitation, as one does not exist.
The AFTC Contracting Directorate (AFTC/PZZG), Edwards AFB intends to issue a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price Contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) as implemented by RFO 6.103-1, to Seimens Industry Inc, 1000 E Deerfield PKWY., Buffalo Grove, IL60089-4547 United States.
The applicable NAICS is 561621; Security Systems Services (except Locksmiths), with a size standard of $25M.
The following is a brief description of the acquisition requirement:
Vendor shall provide all labor, materials, engineering, programming, and commissioning necessary to
furnish and install a centralized air-gapped alarm notification system designed to transmit Major Issue
alarms via analog telephone dial-out without reliance on internet connectivity for Seimens manufactured cooling systems, hydraulics, and power.
Control hardware needed within the alarm cabinet:
• One (1) Siemens PXC-series controller
• Relay expansion modules sufficient to support twenty-four (48) alarm inputs
• One (1) 24VDC power supply
• Six (6) auto-dialer devices (8 inputs per device)
• UPS battery backup system to maintain operation during power loss
• Internal wire management and labeling
