EL requires an integrated software platform to support research in co-simulation, digital twin development, and data analytics. Current research efforts involve combining physics-based modeling, system-level simulation, and data-driven methods within a unified workflow of digital twin development using software manufactured by Altair. Specifically, NIST has leveraged Altair software, such as inspire, motion solve, panopticon, motion view and twin activate as well as automated motion solve experiments for uncertainty analysis of simulation results.
